Under the supervision of the Controller and Chief Accountant, the accounting technician will collaborate with all departments and must demonstrate a high level of autonomy.
Job Description:
- Complete processing and management of payroll for approximately 50 employees (office and construction site).
- Administer DAS and generate data for accounting processing.
- Generate and compile reports and data for analysis.
- Ensure payroll compliance and adherence to government obligations based on employee profiles.
- Handle various requests related to CNESST files.
- Issue pay stubs and respond to information requests.
- Manage employee files concerning onboarding, termination, group insurance, salary updates, etc.
- Prepare year-end documents, the annual summary, and other declarations.
- Participate in various discussions and special projects, such as liaising with payroll software providers or managing maternity leave files.
- Process client invoicing.
- Handle supplier/subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare releases and statutory declarations.
- Follow up on accounts receivable.
- Analyze accounts payable.
- Prepare payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations for all companies.
- Calculate work-in-progress (WIP).
- Prepare tax reports for different companies.
- Produce T5018 contractual payment statements.
- Conduct financial analyses and present various reports.
- Prepare documents for Revenu Québec audits.
- Prepare files for year-end financial review missions.
- Create new companies in Maestro software.
- Perform any other related administrative tasks necessary for the role's effective functioning.
